Volunteering

Volunteers have the opportunity to help us grow an inclusive arts community through enriching experiences and partnership!

Studio Program : Our studios are the heartbeat of V+V.  Volunteers have the opportunity to collaborate with artists through their art-making process, building meaningful relationships and creative skills along the way.

Studio hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday + Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Thursday: 8:30 am – 8:00 pm

Exhibition Program : V+V promotes the professional representation of our artists’ work through exhibitions, workshops, and events.  Volunteers play a key role in the execution of these opportunities, assisting with everything from food service to gallery prep.

Exhibition hours: We have five in-house exhibitions per year on Thursday evenings with occasional opportunities on weekends.

Teaching Artist Program : The Teaching Artist Program (TAP) supports the goals of artists who have an interest in teaching, speaking, and public leadership positions in the field of visual art.  You can volunteer as a ‘mentor’ working both one-on-one and in a group with V+V artists.

TAP hours: Wednesdays (two hours) beginning in September over a 30 week span.  Mentors must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Getting started : Please complete our Volunteer Interest Form  and our Volunteer Coordinator Lizzy will be back in touch with you.  Interested in participating in a group service learning day?  Please e-mail Lizzy DuQuette
