JOY FUEL Inclusive Art Workshops & Exhibition highlighting the intersection of Disability and LGBTQIA+ Communities
An essential attribute of V+V is the creation and expression of joy. Joy is our superpower. We create and fuel joy for ourselves and others, so we are naming our 2023-24 Pride programming "Joy Fuel". Sponsored by ArtsWave Pride, Visionaries + Voices is proud to host an exhibition and free workshops including Drag Makeup, Fiber Arts, Print Making, and More!

Western Exhibitions at Outsider Art Fair New York
Four V+V artists were selected by Western Exhibitions to show their work at Outsider Art Fair New York 2022, which took place in March.
Outsider Art Fair champions the work of artists who have developed their passion for art and personal style outside of traditional institutions. Jennifer Crowe, Cathrine Whited, Andrew Hostick, and Courttney Cooper were among a group of artists exhibited through Western Exhibitions.
Courttney Cooper in MOMA’s Permanent Collection
Visionaries + Voices is thrilled to announce that Courttney Cooper’s work is now included in MOMA’s permanent collection.
Courttney Cooper creates intensely detailed maps from his physical and psychological experiences in Cincinnati Ohio. Using everyday materials of a bic pen and repurposed paper, Courttney methodically pieces fragments of his life experiences together. His larger drawings typically begin with one sheet of paper to then grow by attaching new pieces as needed. Buildings, streets, and conversations are all recorded from memory.
